Chris and Jessie were married on August 28, 2010 and what a day it was! The weather was on the warm (hot) side, but there was a good strong breeze to keep things comfortable. The day began at Jessie’s parents’ house where all the girls were gathered for hair, makeup and getting ready. Jessie’s parents live in a 150 year old farm house in Nowthen, MN…what a treat to photograph in! I think I could have spent the day wondering around taking pictures of the house and the farm…it was such a piece of beautiful history. It was such an honor to be able to visually capture the new pages of history that were being written that day.
It’s not often that we get to start with some bride pictures in a barn!
The ceremony was held at the chapel of the Nowthen Threshing Show so we went over to make use of the wonderful old buildings and machinery they had there.
Then it was back to Jessie’s parents’ house for the reception – a pig roast and a barn dance! The decor was simple and beautiful! Each table was adorned with vases filled with wild flowers. The decoration on each vase included an antique button from Jessie’s mom’s family button collection. I loved how their reception fit them perfectly. It was on the family farm, with their closest friends and family…it’s really a perfect way to celebrate a marriage!
