Adam and Kate – married!

Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel were married on Saturday May 12, 2012. Adam and Kate are a lovely couple and were fun to work with!

We began the morning at Kate’s parents house where the ladies were gathered to get ready. Kate was amazing…she spent so much time planning fantastic details that she incorporated into the day…everything was beautiful!

First look…

Kate looked amazing! No surprise, but seriously, look at the sparkle in that girl’s eyes!

The ceremony was held at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church in Chanhassen, MN.

The reception was at the Lafayette Club in Minnetonka. The set up was beautiful, simple and elegant!

Jackie and Sara – engaged!

Jackie and Sara made the trip out here to Minneapolis for their engagement session. We will be photographing their wedding in October in Wisconsin! It was so fun to finally get to meet them in person…Jackie is a chef and Sara is a science buff and we got to incorporate a few of those ideas into their engagement session. Here are a few of our favorites from the session!

Brent and Hillary – married!

Meet Brent and Hillary…they were married Saturday May 5, 2012. It has been a wonderful start to our wedding season and Brent and Hillary were a big part of that! They are a wonderful, laid back couple who are passionate about each other, their friends and family. Their wedding was a smaller wedding where they were surrounded by those who are closest to them. Brent and Hillary’s wedding was simple yet elegant with a strong focus on the celebration of their love and embarking on a new stage of life together. Hillary is a food scientist/chemist and Brent does lighting design. They are nerdy in their own ways, and absolutely perfect for each other! Alan and I with our science and arty backgrounds felt perfectly at home with these two! Here are a few pictures from their day: enjoy!

Hillary’s matron of honor was her sister and Brent’s best man was his brother. They kept their wedding party simple and just had these two stand up for them.

First look…

The day was a little on the rainy side so we went to the Guthrie for a few pictures in doors.

Then it was off to Day Block for a few more pictures and the ceremony!

The reception was also held at Day Block. I love the old brick and the big windows of this space…it’s beautiful! Oh, and yes, those are Erlenmeyer flasks holding the flowers…so glad you asked!

Brent does lighting design and designed and created the lighting for the evening.

Since it was raining in the afternoon when we were doing most of the pictures we didn’t get to do many outside. But later in the evening things began to dry up and we did make it out side for a few city lights pictures.

Congratulations Brent and Hillary! We wish you tons of joy and happiness in your lives together!

Dan and Catherine – married!

Catherine and Dan…:) What a terrific couple! We were excited for their wedding for several reasons…first, because they are awesome! And secondly, because we got to hang out with a group of people we have photographed with before at Emily and David’s wedding. Catherine and Dan were married on April 21, 2012. We began the morning at Catherine’s mom’s house for hair and makeup with the bridesmaids. The house had a quiet bussle about it as everyone was getting ready.

Then it was off to Nativity of our Lord Catholic Church in St. Paul for the ceremony. It was a little rainy outside, but dare I say, nothing could dampen the sprits of these two!

The crew stopped at the Dubliner Pub for a little celebration on the way to the reception.

The reception was held at the Town and Country Club in St. Paul.

There was some pretty amazing dancing going on at this wedding…it was hard to narrow it down for the blog

Michael and Heather – engaged!

We are about to jump full swing into our wedding season and our excitement for a new year is building! Last week we got to go out with Michael and Heather for their engagement session…what a treat! Heather and Michael are a beautiful and vibrant couple. They are sweet and adorable together and their faces light up when they are together! We began the session downtown Minneapolis at Peavy Park and the surrounding area. The second half we headed over to St. Anthony Main to catch some of the greenery of early spring and the skyline.

Luke and Lindsey – engaged!

Lindsey and Luke are getting married in September and we got to do their engagement session last week while Luke was home on leave. Jeff and Cassie – engaged!

Last week we got to do an engagement session with Jeff and Cassie. They will be getting married next October and we are delighted to get to be a part of their wedding day too! Fun story…these two met through their realtor! They were each buying houses and happened to have the same realtor. Their realtor thought they would make a good couple…turns out they do!

Cassie and Jeff wanted to do winter engagement pictures. This winter was not cooperating very well with that hope. We have had little snow this season, especially compared to last year! We finally got a decent snow covering and Cassie and Jeff managed to take a day off work so we could take advantage of the white before it was gone again! We started the session at a park near their home where they got engaged. The second part of their session was at the beautiful campus of Northwestern College. Here are some favs form the session!

2011 Weddings
