James and Carrie were married on August 7, 2010. The day began a little wet and rainy, but by the time we started pictures the sun was out for a beautiful day! The traditions of the wedding day were very important to Carrie and James and they were beautifully executed throughout the day. We began at Scott Miller Studios for hair and makeup in the morning. Then it was off to Assumption Catholic Church in St. Paul for pictures and the ceremony.
We didn’t have time to do the full set of pictures after the ceremony so James and Carrie saw each other before hand so that we still had time to fit in all the pictures. For their first meeting, Carrie requested that it be set up as close to the traditional way of walking down the aisle as possible. It was beautiful!
The church and the entire setting was wonderfully elegant! I loved all the detail and the fine craftsmanship both in the interior and exterior of the church.
We had a little time between the ceremony and the reception to grab a few pictures at Rice Park with the wedding party.
Their reception was at Crowne Plaza Riverfront. Everything looked wonderful! The flowers were done by Sadie’s Floral.
